Dragonfire Farm Welcomes Freedom Twain DF

Freedom Twain DF and her dam, Warbird Commander photo: Sherry Stewart

We are absolutely thrilled with this chestnut filly by The Twain. Born June 7, 2014, "Frankie" is absolutely stunning and bubbling over with personality and athletic ability. This filly will have the heart of a winner, with CHAMPIONS on both sides of her pedigree. The sire side represents over 40 current Eventing WEG, Olympic, and Four Star TOP TEN finishers, as well as the 2013 USEA YEH Four Year Old Champion, Classic Twain DF. Her dam, Warbird Commander is a sister to Kentucky Derby winner, Mine That Bird, one of the very few geldings to ever win the prestigious title.

Davis And McFall Claim Top Honors at Copper Meadows

Cori Davis and A Golden Effort gave a spectacular performance across country at the inaugural Copper Meadows CIC** to ultimately claim victory in what would be their first FEI win. After a solid ride in Dressage, the pair were sitting third going into the second day's Stadium round. With just one rail down, they held their position going into Sunday's Cross Country phase. But with the time on cross country proving hard to make, Cori and "Ty's" fast and clear round catapulted them into the top slot.

Meanwhile, High Times and Jennifer McFall came back to competition after their Rolex completion in the Open Intermediate division. "Billy" was in top form and focused for a winning score in the Dressage, and maintained that lead with a double clear Show Jumping round. His convincingly clear cross country run sealed the deal and he won the division start to finish by over ten points.

Earl McFall and Tim Terrific are certainly ones to watch for the future as they had a beautiful showing in the CIC*. These two can really dominate a cross country course, and their double clear trip around Copper Meadows earned them a fourth place in their first FEI performance.

Giving more strong performances at Copper were Caroline Dein with Lucid Opposition taking fifth in Preliminary Rider, Morgan Wenell and Quiet Council placing fifth in Junior Novice, and Hailey Popham and Skip Along also getting a pink ribbon in Junior Novice. Merriewold Kasey and Earl McFall were consistent for seventh in Open Novice and Taylor McFall and Kilbarry Prince tackled their first Novice together.

EFA-X Joins Team DF

We are very excited to announce our newest sponsor, EFA-X. EFA-X™ is a very unique, easily digestible, vegetable based fatty acid feed concentrate for horses. The EFA-X™ proprietary process enables today’s sport and leisure horse to get the crucial essential fatty acids they need to perform to their fullest and live a healthy life. The EFA-X™ self-emulsification in the Stomach and small intestine, ensure a quick Cross-Membrane process into the blood stream for an effortless utilization and readily bio-available fatty acids.

EFA-X™ offers exceptionally high nutritional value, even for the most sensitive horse. Over twice the instant available Mcal than the best weight building and performance enhancing products. EFA-X™ contains no genetically modified raw materials, no chemical-based compounds, no artificial additives and there is no presence of any known allergens. EFA-X™ does not conflict with any current FEI or USEF regulations.

We started using EFA-X on some of our performances horses a couple of months ago and saw a huge difference, especially in High Times. EFA-X was a crucial part of his nutritional plan leading up to and during his 4**** Rolex performance. His muscle tone improved significantly and so did his stamina. Not only did it improve his overall shape, it also aided in a quick recovery after his tough cross country exertion, and he felt happy and ready to work the following day for stadium. We would recommend this product to anyone looking to keep their performance horse in top shape at a price you can afford.
